Our apps
The software we run for our customers. Most of it we build ourselves, here in Akureyri.
- Top: the assistants that do the work.
- Middle: the apps that hold email, files and data.
- Bottom: AkurAI itself. Every app is built on it.
The AkurAI apps
Each app is one small file running on our servers. That makes them fast, cheap to run and easy to look after.
The foundation
AkurAI
All our apps are built on AkurAI. Each app is one small file, about 1 MB, with its database, search and web pages built in. Fewer parts mean fewer breakdowns.
- Database
- Search by meaning
- Web pages and APIs
- Sign-in and access control
- AI connection
Email
AkurAI Mail
Webmail for your business. Read, send and search all your email in one place.
Passwords
AkurAI PassVault
An encrypted vault for passwords and access keys, for people and assistants.
Sign-in
AkurAI Login
One sign-in for every app. Staff log in once.
Files
AkurAI Drive
Keep your company's files somewhere safe. A desktop app keeps a folder on your computer in sync.
Notes
AkurAI Notes
Notes you can look up by meaning, not just by words. The assistants can search them too.
Customers
AkurAI CRM
Keeps track of companies, contacts, sales leads and tasks.
Tasks · in development
AkurAI Tasks
Task boards that people and assistants work on together.
Connection to AI
AkurAI Router
One gateway to the AI models. Every app and assistant goes through it, so all usage is in one place.
Monitoring
AkurAI Monitor
Watches servers and apps day and night and tells us when something breaks.
Build and release
AkurAI Build
Holds the code, tests every change and ships new versions.
Private network · in development
AkurAI VPN
Joins your company's devices into one private network.
Other apps we have written
Other things we have built, some in daily use and some to try out ideas.
Keyboard for Android
LyklaBoard
An Icelandic keyboard that corrects using Icelandic grammar and predicts the next word. It learns your words on the phone and sends nothing anywhere.
Golf
Jaðarsvöllur in 3D
All 18 holes of Jaðarsvöllur in Akureyri, rebuilt to scale from survey and terrain data.
In development
Fulltrúinn
Watches your island.is mailbox and tells you which benefits you are entitled to.
Screen sharing on Linux
PenguinCast
Send your screen from a phone or computer to a Linux machine over AirPlay or Miracast.
Your domains
1984dns
Manage your domains at 1984.is with one command, without opening the website.
Experiment
golfgauss
Turns a drone video of a golf hole into a 3D model you can view in the browser.
Other software we use
We don't build everything ourselves. These tools from others are part of the solution too.
Runs the team
Paperclip
Runs a team of AI workers. Each has a role, works through a task list and hands work to a person who checks it.
One way to many models
LiteLLM
Open-source software that gives one way in to many AI models, with an overview of usage and cost.
